As a Bulgarian with a flair for traditional cuisine, I was intrigued to find that even lunch here starts with a robust shot of "rakia," a quintessential Bulgarian ritual. This fiery spirit, typically savored alongside a fresh salad, set the tone for a memorable dining experience.The pièce de résistance was the "shopska" salad, a vibrant medley of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, green peppers. Each bite transported me to sun-kissed Bulgarian picnics, a true taste of home. The culinary journey continued at breakfast, where I was pleasantly surprised to find a local beer complementing the morning spread-an unexpected but delightful twist. The ambiance of the restaurant, coupled with warm hospitality, made every meal a communal experience to cherish.
